The Old Hall, a Grade II* manor house, and its surrounding lands (which include a moat and lake) originated before the 1500’s and continued to be developed, expanded and altered, well into the 1990’s, instilling and adopting various interior styles that would typify and exemplify the manor house of its origins.
We were appointed in 2019 to undertake the Interior Design of the existing residence and Barn, as well as to the substantial new extension to the rear, for a young family who fell in love with the history and the pastoral setting of the home. Careful consideration of the existing structure has been implemented and all work carried out utilises methods, materials and finishes in accordance with good conservation practice. There is a steadfast attention to detail and stern efforts have been made to retain all that is historically significant whilst allowing current interventions to seamlessly integrate into the historical fabric of the configuration of the Old Hall as it was intended to be.
